Rice Cereal Treats
Yummy childhood treat. Original recipe from Kellogg's website
Equipment
- 1 9x13 cake pan
- 1 large saucepan
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp butter or margarine
- 10 oz pkg package regular marshmallows can use 5½ cups mini marshmallows
- 6 c Puffed rice cereal
Instructions
- Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat.3 tbsp butter or margarine
- Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.10 oz pkg package regular marshmallows
- Remove from heat.
- Add rice cereal and stir until completely coated.6 c Puffed rice cereal
- Using buttered spatula or wax paper, press mixture evenly into 9"x13" pan coated with cooking spray.
- Cut into 2" squares.
- Best if served the same day.
- Store no more than 2 days in airtight container.
